MB92, Carbon Blue and FC Barceloneta. A great team!

The M92 shipyards in Barcelona and La Ciotat (a port in Provence, France), expanding their synergies between the local communities of La Barceloneta and La Ciotat , have collaborated with CarbonBlue , a local company specialising in plastic recycling. The main objective of this company is to transform discarded plastic into furniture, sculptures and other household items.

“The purpose of our collaboration,” explains Dorian Testa, Technical Director of Carbon Blue, “is to collect the plastic waste generated during MB92 projects, such as the canvas that protects yachts from the sun, harsh weather and sea salt, and reuse it as raw material to produce other products. Since the beginning of this partnership, Carbon Blue and MB92 have successfully processed almost 2.2 tons of plastic waste.” Innovative project with CF Barceloneta.

CF Barceloneta, through its director Carlos Arena, contacted Marc Hervàs , Sustainability Manager of MB92 Group, seeking support from MB92 to carry out an innovative project: to manufacture boards from said recycled plastic to make 7 benches in the changing rooms using 115 kg of plastic.
