This agreement guarantees the continuity of the company’s operations in the city for a further ten years, from 2040 to 2050, and reinforces its long-term commitment to Barcelona and to the development of industrial activity serving the European maritime sector.
The renewal also provides for an expansion of the area occupied by MB92, which will increase from the current 126,500 m² to a total of 130,540 m², an increase of almost 4,000 m². The company will allocate 40 million euros to strengthen its operational capacity, upgrade its infrastructure and promote sustainability, contributing to the decarbonisation targets for 2050 and reinforcing its position as an international leader in the repair, maintenance and refurbishment of superyachts.
The project has been structured in two phases. The first, now approved, extends the concession until 2050. Once this phase has begun, MB92 will continue to develop the second phase, which would enable it to qualify for a further five-year extension, until 2055, as well as an additional period.
