Once again this year, Barcelona’s retail and catering industry has been the central theme of two of the presentations scheduled for Mobile World Congress (Gran Vía de Fira de Barcelona, March 3-6). The industry conferences took place on Monday, March 3, in the Beat Barcelona Agora.
Conference on Commercial Census 23024 and the Unique Local Identification Number (ULID). Led by Encarna Palma, from the Department of Commerce, Restaurants and Food of Barcelona City Council, and Daniel Isart , from the Urban Planning Department of Barcelona City Council. Details were presented on the Study of Commercial Activities in Barcelona 2024, the Commercial Viewer, and the promotion of the new unique code for each commercial establishment in the city.
Conference: Technology at the Service of Gastronomy to Achieve Quality Service with Sustainability Criteria, with the participation of Raquel Giménez, Head of Marketing for Spain at AREAS; Joan Soler, from Toufood ; and Iñaki Gorostiaga , Director of the Barcelona School of Hospitality (ESHOB), with food journalist Laura Conde as moderator.
Beat Space Barcelona
For the fourth consecutive year, Beat Barcelona was a space that reflected the spirit of Barcelona at MWC. Its agora area, had a continuous programming of content promoted by the City Council and MWCapital . Beat Barcelona also has a space for DJs, work and networking areas and an information point about the city. Beat Barcelona offered a musical program promoted by the Association of Concert Halls of Catalonia (ASACC) and based on the mix of global sounds and local rhythms, with the participation of DJs. On the other hand, there was also an area with gastronomic demonstrations , aimed at asserting the rich gastronomic culture of Barcelona.
