The Stationery Shop of Barceloneta. A commitment to local commerce as a revitaliser of the neighbourhood

Noel, born and raised in Lloret de Mar, decided to change his professional life in 2022 by opening Punto y Coma, a stationery store in the heart of Barceloneta.

A neighbourhood that he discovered and fell in love with in 2014. So, he decided to create a space that would not only cover the needs of school and office supplies, but would also promote neighbourhood life.

“I thought that there was a need for a local business for the neighbourhood, a stationery store that offered variety and quality, and that would become a meeting point for neighbours,” says an excited Noel, an example of a young entrepreneur who has opted for a local establishment that would revitalise small businesses in Barceloneta. In a short time, the shop has become a reference point for students, workers, schools and residents of the neighbourhood. Now, almost two years after its opening, Punto y Coma is at a key moment to consolidate itself. “We want to make ourselves known throughout the neighbourhood, expand our presence and establish ourselves as a reference point for offices, schools and businesses,” explains Noel.

Punto y Coma is not just a stationery store

It is a corner of Barceloneta where the little one becomes the big one, and each client is a key piece in this neighborhood story. “We want everyone to be part of this adventure and to feel that Punto y Coma is a place for them,” says Noel.

The school is part of the Val Escolar campaign, collaborating directly with the educational needs of the neighbourhood.
