New Advanced Vocational Training Cycle in Audiovisual Project Production and Performance.
Next academic year (2026–2027), at La Salle Barceloneta, we have exciting news: our academic offerings are expanding with the addition of the Advanced Program in Audiovisual and Performing Arts Production. This new advanced program will complement the intermediate-level program in Video, DJing, and Sound and the advanced-level program in 3D Animation—since they belong to the same family—as well as our high school program in Music and Performing Arts.
By its very nature, this program focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of knowledge. The goal of this new program is to move toward becoming a comprehensive center specializing in Image and Sound, and to become a leading institution in this professional field.
The seventh art—cinema—is intertwined with some of the pillars of the arts: set design, staging, and the creation of new projects that can function within a specific context. First, we must understand the long history of the newest art form—cinema—in order to work, secondly, with camera shots and movements, and thus connect it to the long history of theater and literature, with their various artistic movements and trends.
This program will not operate in isolation, but will be integrated with our existing programs and the Music and Performing Arts high school track to create the necessary interdisciplinary approach and make the school a powerful and attractive audiovisual hub for companies in the sector.
