2026 Restaurant Guide

Once again, Barcelona City Council has published its 2026 Barcelona Restaurant Guide, a 160-page publication featuring a selection of the 55 finalist and award-winning restaurants from the sixth edition of the Barcelona Restaurant Awards, a competition organised by the City Council since 2017.

Much more than a guide,

The 2026 Guide aims to be a tool for discovering and enjoying Barcelona’s culinary richness, but also for recognising the work of the professionals and establishments that form part of the city’s everyday life. Each restaurant featured in the publication offers its own unique take on Barcelona’s gastronomy. From cuisines rooted in traditional recipes to contemporary, market-driven, signature or sustainability-focused offerings, the guide showcases the diversity of a sector that combines craftsmanship, creativity and a commitment to the environment.

The publication features establishments recognised in five categories: Gastronomic Quality, Integration into the Neighbourhood, Sustainability, Front-of-House Service and Market Catering. It also includes honourable mentions for outstanding careers and projects.

The restaurant sector – the protagonist of the city

With over 10,000 bars and restaurants, the restaurant and hospitality sector is one of the main drivers of Barcelona’s social and economic life. Beyond their economic activity, these establishments are places where people meet, they foster a sense of community and help to bring neighbourhoods to life. Barcelona cannot be understood without its bars, restaurants, kitchens, dining rooms and terraces.
