Tech Spirit Barcelona. More than 140 speakers and 60 conferences

The 4th edition of the benchmark event for the technology community took place on 12 and 13 December at La Lonja de Mar in Barcelona. The event coincided with the celebration of the tenth anniversary of Tech Barcelona, the organiser of TechSpirit Barcelona.

Tech Spirit Barcelona 2023 aims to mobilise and raise the profile of the entrepreneurial and technological ecosystem. The institutional inauguration was presided over by the Secretary for Enterprise and Competitiveness of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Albert Castellanos; the fourth Deputy Mayor of Barcelona City Council, Jordi Valls; the President of Tech Barcelona, Miguel Vicente; and the CEO of Tech Barcelona, Miguel Martín. In addition to the general director of Barcelona Activa, Lorenzo Di Pietro; the CEO of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Francisco Fajula; the president of the Port of Barcelona, Lluís Salvadó; the president of Fomento del Trabajo, Josep Sánchez Libro; the president of the Círculo de Economía, Jaume Guardiola; and representatives of the companies and institutions promoting the event.

This edition of Tech Spirit Barcelona 2023 has placed special focus on the state of national and international investment, the role of “ocal heroes”and multinational hubs, technology and health, digital culture, sustainability, open innovation and the rise of artificial intelligence, among other topics.

As part of Tech Spirit Barcelona 2023, ACCIÓ organised 500 meetings between Catalan startups and local and international investors. Moreover, the award for the Catalan startup of the year 2023 was presented on Wednesday 13 th of December.
