Exhibition «Argotes portuarios”. From March 6 to April 26
Linguistic uses and expressions at the Port of Barcelona between the 1970s and 1980s, with particular emphasis on the slang used by dockworkers and their nicknames. The exhibition reflects on the evolution of language in the industrial work environment at a time of great social, political and technological changes in our country that were reflected in the life of the Barceloneta.

If you want to participate in the creation of a visual work on the historical memory of the neighborhood from old photographs, contact La Revelada (info@larevelada.com) or Casa de la Barceloneta 1761 (info@casabarceloneta1761.cat). At the eight meetings important events of Barceloneta will be remembered and the participants will create photographs to represent them.
Exhibition «Militiamen of the Barceloneta to through through the war subsidies (1936-1937)”. From May 8 to June 28
The war subsidies issued by the Central Committee of Antifascist Militias between 1936 and 1937 that shows the close relationship that Barceloneta will have with the militia movement. This research follows the names and vicissitudes of many people from the neighborhood who were called up.
Conference «Republicans and Antifascist memory. May 22 at 6:30 p.m.
More than 9,000 Republican exiles from the Spanish Civil War were deported to Nazi camps, of which approximately 5,300 died during their deportation. The conference is part of the Historical Memory Series “Traces of Barceloneta,” which brings together the historical perspective of the Casa de la Barceloneta 1761, the literary perspective of the Library Barceloneta – The Fraternity and the artistic perspective of the Barceloneta Civic Center.

Tour oriented to articulate collectively a critical account of Barceloneta, highlighting its cultural richness and the importance of immigration in its history and in the configuration of its identity. Activity in the framework of Barceloneta Diversa.
