We work together for the training and integration of our students

During the month of June, educational centres face the final stretch of the academic year, a very important moment for the entire educational community. Students, teaching staff, companies, families and the educational administration itself work together for the training and integration of our students.

In the logistics and port community there are many professional profiles that can be developed and that allow career plans to be formed for young people at the Port of Barcelona. During the month of September our students take part in a three-day welcome process, which is complemented by a maritime visit and which we take advantage of to transmit to the students their importance as future ambassadors of the port community.

Dual internships in companies

Students are trained for two academic years and, in the case of vocational training, they have to develop the period of stay in the company, known as dual internships in general and intensive mode. It is a training period during which they learn in a real work situation directly in the companies that host the students.

It is a system that, on the one hand, allows companies to collaborate in training, adapt their staff training programmes and manage talent; on the other hand, it is an excellent complement to the students’ training and forms part of their curriculum prior to obtaining their degree. The teaching staff also participate in training activities with placements in companies. Dual vocational training is, therefore, an excellent tool that is developed in coordination with the company tutors and the school tutors, who monitor and evaluate the students’ company visits. We would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks.

Graduation Ceremony

Once the two academic years of training have been completed, the time comes for the graduations at the end of the course. Our students look forward to this moment, which has become a tradition in our school and takes place in the Barcelona Hall of the Port of Barcelona. This year the graduations were held in two shifts, on Wednesday 21st May the intermediate level students (Commercial Activities – Logistics, Administrative Management and Microcomputer Systems and Networks) and on Friday 23rd May the higher level students (Transport and Logistics, International Trade, Administration and Finance and Administration of Networked Computer Systems – Cybersecurity).
