The union between La Barceloneta and Evolution Yacht Agents
At Evolution Yacht Agents, we believe that small actions can make big changes, especially when communities work together for a common goal. In light of the tragedy that occurred in Valencia at the end of October, and with the help of the La Barceloneta neighbourhood, we saw the opportunity to get involved in an initiative to support people affected by the DANA. The joint work of both the neighbours and our team allowed this action to be much more than a simple donation, it became an act of unity and commitment.
A link between communities
We understood, right from the off, that the key to helping those most in need was the collaboration of everyone. The residents of La Barceloneta, with their generosity, collected basic necessities and essential materials. Local businesses, neighbourhood associations, hospitality providers, nautical companies in the neighbourhood and the yachts moored in Marina Port Vell and MB92 also joined in, making important contributions to the cause.
From Evolution Yacht Agents, we sent a trailer with 28 pallets, loaded with approximately 200kg per pallet, adding up to a large amount of help. Among the products sent, there was sportswear donated by the Barceloneta Swimming Club (CNAB), food, water, baby milk, hygiene products, PPE and cleaning supplies. This large amount of help would not have been possible without the collaboration of all those involved, giving an example of how a neighbourhood that stays together can demonstrate so much strength and solidarity.
The role of Evolution Yacht Agents: logistics and coordination
As a company committed to the community, Evolution Yacht Agents played a central role in the logistics of the campaign, thanks to the involvement of the logistics team. From our facilities and with our transport donation, we became the collection point for all donations and the coordination center to ensure that each contribution reached its destination.
Our team worked to ensure that donations were transported quickly and safely, facilitating connections between the various parties involved: from the residents of La Barceloneta to the organizations in Valencia that would receive the aid.
Mutual commitment
The support of the La Barceloneta neighbourhood associations was a key element in the success of this initiative. From the beginning, these local entities joined in with enthusiasm, mobilising resources and people committed to the cause. Thanks to their collaboration, we were able to coordinate the collection of food, materials and other essential products, as well as their efficient distribution.
This solidarity action is an inspiring example of how communities such as La Barceloneta, together with Evolution Yacht Agents, can join forces to overcome challenges, strengthening collaboration between neighbours, companies and associations.
Cheer up, Valencia
From Evolution Yacht Agents, we want to send a message of hope and solidarity to all those affected in Valencia. We are aware that recovery takes time, but thanks to the effort and unity of the people, the cities will come out stronger than ever.
We are proud to have been part of this cause and we will continue working with the same energy and dedication to support everything that contributes to improving our society.
