Miquel Marín, 28 years in the Port

Miquel, who joined the company on January 20th, 1997, had been a stevedore for almost 28 years before he retired this October. A lifetime that dates back to his father Miguel, and continues with his younger brothers Israel and Diego, and now also with his son.

A very active witness to an entire era of change, Miguel has been and is a great professional and, most importantly, an exemplary colleague. A delegate since 2002, he has stood out for his participation in charitable work in schools, institutes and centres. Always willing to give talks about the Port or accompany visitors, Miquel is the first to volunteer. But possibly the role that best represents his human profile is his active involvement in the commission for liaison with retirees, providing them with all kinds of help, listening to their requests and organising outings, excursions and other activities.

For this reason, although we do not believe that he will stop visiting this house and his companions, we wanted to have that small memory of the one who has been for these years one of the companions who best represents the spirit of the stevedore family.

Enjoy it a lot, Miquel!
