Culture also sails in the Copa América
For the first time an edition of the Copa de la América is accompanied by a program of cultural activities. It is the Cultural Regatta, made up of more than 200 activities offered by nearly sixty entities, institutions and facilities. The activities are directed to all citizens and will be celebrated throughout the year.
Culture, art, sports, gastronomy, science and leisure come together to celebrate the Copa América in 2024.
Once again Barcelona is a pioneer in organizing what we could call a parallel regatta that will accompany and complement one of the main sporting events in the world.

Copa América Ceremony Barcelona 2024. October 10. Beach of Bogatell.
Classic on the Beach with the best directors of the moment. July 11 and 12. San Sebastian beach.
The Orchestra of the Gran Teatro del Liceo, the hearts of the Palau de la Música Catalana and the OBC will offer two free concerts. The children’s hearts of the Orfeón Catalán will perform at residences for the elderly in Barceloneta and the Heart of the Chamber of the Palace at the Hospital de Mar.

Great Meeting of Habaneras “Barcelona face in the sea”. June, 15. Old Port.
The groups Crema Catalana, Boira, Ultramar and Puerto Bueno will perform, with the collaboration of the Mediterranean Chorale of the Casal de Gent Gran Mediterráneo of Barceloneta.
“Barcelona Square”. From the end of August to the end of October. Moll de la Fusta.
Plaza de Barcelona is a free interactive installation that will be open to the race Village, where we can explore, immerse ourselves and experience the character and cultural and economic values of Barcelona in a totally new way. Through 360° screens, virtual reality creations and an interactive app, the installation will show the city in a multi-faceted and plural way according to the interests of each user. In parallel, it will also include an agenda of talks about Barcelona.
Singular activities
La Merçè and the Port Olímpic
The festival of the city’s patron saint, La Merçè, will also have a special role this year of the Copa América. The new Port Olímpic will become the main stage of the Barcelona Festival. In the Gastronomic Balcony, the new restaurant area of the Port Olímpic, you can taste quality, diverse and local culinary proposals.
Museums, libraries, science and cinema
Coinciding with the celebration of the event, libraries, museums and other institutions organize exhibitions, debates, talks, shows and activities for the whole family.
Catalan skateboarding
During the Copa América the exhibition regatta of largest Catalan skates in history. This traditional Catalan boat will race on the America’s Cup racing course.
A school and youth Catalan skate league will also be promoted.
