From March 18 to 22, the Barcelona Nautical Institute participated in the Barcelona Education Fair with its own space open to anyone who wanted to discover the world of nautical professions.
At our stand, young people and families learned about how to enroll in our programs, the vocational training courses we offer, and the career opportunities available in a sector with a strong maritime tradition and a bright future. Faculty and students from the institute were on hand to answer questions and explain firsthand what it means to train and work in the nautical field.
In addition, during the fair, our space turned into a small live workshop, featuring hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities.
Schedule of featured activities at the fair:
- March 18 (morning) – Sailing facility : knot-tying workshop open to all visitors and a demonstration of the assembly of the Lo Pallús mast and the hoisting procedure.
- March 18 (afternoon) – Electrical systems : demonstration of a boat’s electrification (replacing a gasoline engine with an electric motor) and installation of auxiliary components (lighting, bilge pumps, radio, etc.).
