Spain, Water Polo World Champions

CNAB plays a leading role in historic success

The Spanish men’s team has been crowned World Champions at the World Championships in Singapore, in an exciting, intense, and highly competitive tournament. This historic milestone marks a turning point for Spanish water polo.

The CN Atlético-Barceloneta is immensely proud of this triumph, as nine of the 13 members of the national team belong to the club: Felipe Perrone, Unai Biel, Alberto Munárriz, Bernat Sanahuja, Unai Aguirre, Álvaro Granados, Roger Tahull, Álex Bustos, and Biel Gomila. This is indisputable proof of the talent and dedication that is cultivated every day at the yellow and blue club. They have been role models both in and out of the water, demonstrating once again that commitment, sacrifice, and enthusiasm are the path to glory.

The CNAB recognizes the work of all the clubs, coaches, and federations that have made it possible for Spanish water polo to experience one of the most brilliant moments in its history.

This collective success is the result of constant work and is part of the world of water polo, which is at its peak.

The World Cup has also brought great joy to women’s basketball: the Spanish team won the bronze medal, with CNAB player Daniela Moreno. A well-deserved medal that reaffirms the excellent track record of a team that continues to make history.

The Club has expressed its deepest admiration and gratitude to both teams, but especially to its players. They have thrilled, inspired, and made everyone feel that anything is possible. They are unstoppable. They are the best in the world. And they have taken the name of CNAB and the Barceloneta neighborhood to the top.
