During the week of 3rd to 9th March we celebrated with great success the International Women’s Day with a series of events in which many of the women who give life to the house have been able to participate.
Beyond the activities that are organized directly by the management of the house, there are many others that are organized by women’s groups and complement the programming of the team. English, Italian, French, Crafts or Cinema are some of the activities self-managed by groups of women who put their knowledge at the service of the participants in the center. Especially significant is the magazine published quarterly and distributed throughout the neighborhood with great acceptance. Precisely this last issue has been dedicated to 8M.
The events of the week have included various exhibitions of the work done by them, as well as open workshops to visualize all the work they do during the year.
The 8M is a very significant day to claim the right to equality, but can not remain only in a specific holiday, but must extend this claim to every day of the year to achieve true equality.
In this line, in the house we have feminism as one of the axes of our work, and it is also a space where we promote female empowerment in all the activities we do. We encourage you to participate!
